National Treasures from Australia’s Great Libraries opened at the National Library of Australia in Canberra on 3 December 2005.
This exhibition brings our national memory to life, drawing together for the first time over 170 priceless treasures from the magnificent collections of Australia’s National, State and Territory libraries.
Screenmakers produced all of the internal display panels for the exhibition, which included :
Large Image Panels - Digital printed onto Sandtex laminate and mounted onto MDF panels with wrapped edges. The panels were then installed onto split batons.
Smaller Photo Panels - These panels were each backprinted onto acrylic and mounted off the wall using spacers.
Text Panels - These panels were used to accompany some of the photos at the exhibition. Each one was printed and wrapped onto aluminium and were used extensively for the many captions throughout the display.
Vinyl Cut Lettering - Used for titles and headings at the exhibition, these letters were adhered to the walls of the displays.
Rollup Banners - Since this was a traveling exhibition, the entry signage had to be flexible enough to be set up at multiple locations. For this reason, rollup banners were used.
