At Screenmakers, we manufacture custom VOD (Visitor Orientation Display) shelter kits that are used at various parks and areas of interest throughout Australia. The kits incorporate the same display technology used in our Multiframe Sign Kits, also available from Screenmakers.
- The shelter kits allow for a single or double graphic panel configuration. Depending on case by case requirements, the graphic panels can be manufactured to be single or double sided.
- The shelter kits can be supplied with digitally printed graphic panels or lockable panels for notices and information. The impact resistant acrylic panels are directly printed to the rear surface. Printed panels generally contain detailed information about the local area and provide directions and orientation information for walking trails etc...
- At the centre of the double panel shelters is an optional lockable noticeboard made from cork with a front lining to allow direct printing if required. This noticeboard usually contains park notices and other information as needed.
- The shelters utilise tamper proof fixings to protect them from damage and vandalism.
- The shelter frames are produced from aluminium for durability and to provide protection from oxidation. The frames are powder coated to customer specified colours (many colours available) and the units are ready for installation using starter bolts. The usage of starter bolts allows for the shelters to be moved in the future if required. Standard Colorbond material is used to produce the roof of the shelter kits.
- The dimensions of the shelters can be customised. The double panel shelter shown above contains two graphics panels that each measure 2.4m x 1.2m. The size of the graphic panels ultimately determines the size of the completed shelter. In this example, the finished shelter was approximately 4.5m wide and 2.5m deep. Screenmakers routinely manufacture shelters of varying size - depending on the initial dimensions of the graphic panels.
- Screenmakers can provide a full installation service, or provide shelters in kit form for third party installation.
